Mr. Smith joined Goodell Stratton Edmonds & Palmer, LLP upon graduating from law school. From a small town named Canton, Missouri, Mr. Smith attended Culver-Stockton College in his hometown where he graduated Cum Laude and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Legal Studies. He then went to Washburn University School of Law where he received his Juris Doctorate in 2020 and was admitted to the Kansas Bar that same year.
While attending Culver-Stockton College he was a member of the AMTA Mock Trial Team, serving three years as Captain, and was also named an Outstanding Scholar in Legal Studies. During law school, Mr. Smith competed on three mock trial teams, including the ABA Employment Law Trial Team, TYLA Trial Team, and Voir Dire Trial Team. He was also inducted into the National Order of the Barristers. Mr. Smith also served as President of the Labor and Employment Group of Washburn, Student Bar Association representative, and drafted two Amicus Curiae briefs regarding freedom of speech for the Republic of Georgia’s Constitutional Court. Prior to joining GSEP, Mr. Smith worked as a Judicial Law Clerk for all of the Shawnee County District Court judges.
Mr. Smith’s professional memberships include the Topeka Bar Association, Kansas Bar Association, as well as the Sam A. Crow Inns of Court. *
